Project Description:
A very different project, to create a Garden of Remembrance for St. Mary’s Church in Twyford. By it’s very nature, a lot of sensitivity was required at all stages of planning and construction – and a lot of unusual practical issues (including obtaining approval for & carrying out the move of several very old headstones).
A key aspect of this project was the need to work with lots of committees and other organisations – to obtain approvals, agreement on plans, sponsorship for seating, etc.
The project included detailed design of garden layout and planting, construction of garden – including all hard landscaping, border preparation, seeding, etc – and access routes, along with planting & plant sourcing.
The garden was opened by the Bishop of Reading in April 2010.
