A Year On and Still Looking Good
Take a look at this smart contemporary garden one year on after landscaping, with planting now established.
In October 2024, the team landscaped this contemporary style garden in Newbury. After a recent visit, we’d like to share some updated photos which show the finished garden with the plants now established and grown.
Before and After:
Here’s an advance preview of what our team achieved, showing the garden before and after:
Garden with Established Planting:
At the heart of the garden’s design is a minimalistic and modern approach. A number of elements help achieve this: the inclusion of white rendered planting beds; the composite decking built-in seat; the shutter screen fencing; and the large rectangular porcelain pavers for the patio areas. The plants complement the style and now they are grown, you can see how effective they look.

Key Elements:
- The planting echoes the contemporary landscaping with the use of structural plants and trees, and the minimal use of colours.
- Varying shades of green create interest against the white. The grasses add texture and movement.
- The large astro turf lawn looks as good as the day the team laid it, and our client has installed lines running through the lawn, giving it a more realistic feel. This is achieved by using a Power Brush designed for keeping your artificial lawns looking good and plumped up.
- The new photos reveal how well the plants have bedded in and our client has told us how much more time their family spend outside enjoying the different areas of the garden.
